The Kinetic Minds Mission

Our Mission

To give kids the creative confidence and problem-solving skills they need to navigate an increasingly digital world — and to help them believe one of the most powerful truths they’ll ever learn:

I can do hard things.

At Kinetic Minds, “hard” isn’t something to avoid.
It’s where curiosity grows.
It’s where confidence is built.
It’s where kids learn what they’re truly capable of.

We help kids practice doing hard things in ways that feel joyful, achievable, and deeply empowering.

How We Do It

We design learning experiences that let kids explore, make mistakes, try again, and feel proud of their effort. Through hands-on computer science, storytelling, puzzles, and meaningful mentorship, kids learn to:

  • break big problems into smaller ones

  • try different approaches

  • persevere when something doesn’t work

  • ask great questions

  • celebrate progress, not perfection

Hard things become exciting instead of scary — and each win builds a stronger sense of “I can.”

Our Values

Accessibility

Every child deserves early exposure to creative computing, regardless of background or resources. Hard things become doable when kids are given opportunities, not barriers.

Creativity

Learning should spark imagination, curiosity, and a sense of possibility. We encourage kids to try bold ideas, experiment, and express themselves through projects they care about.

Confidence

Kids thrive when they feel supported — not compared. We celebrate effort, persistence, and the courage to try something new. Around here, “I can do hard things” isn’t a slogan — it’s a skill.

Community

We grow stronger together. Collaboration, kindness, and shared discovery help kids feel brave enough to stretch, explore, and support each other through challenges.

Access & Sponsorship

Access & Sponsorship

Kinetic Minds is committed to making creative computer science accessible to families across our community. Rather than limiting support to individual cohorts, we aim to ensure that at least 20% of seats across our programs are available to families who need financial assistance.

Sponsored seats help make hands-on, creative learning available to more kids — not just those who can easily afford it.

If you’re interested in supporting a student or applying for a sponsored seat, we’d love to help more kids discover the joy of doing hard, meaningful things.
